Text
The Department of Revenue, to ensure compliance with ORS 323.005 to 323.482, shall require a licensee or an applicant for a license as distributor to deposit with it such security as the department may determine. The amount of the security shall be fixed by the department but shall not be greater than two times the estimated average monthly liability shown in the monthly reports, determined in such manner as the department deems proper. The amount of the security may be increased or decreased by the department subject to the limitations herein provided. Except as provided in ORS 323.120, the security shall be in the form of a bond or bonds executed by the distributor as principal and by a corporation, authorized to engage in business as a surety company in Oregon under ORS 742.350 to 742.3
