Text

(1)The Oregon Department of Administrative Services may cause any warrant drawn by it, and any other state agency authorized by law to draw warrants may cause any warrant drawn by the state agency, to be signed by facsimile signature affixed by any mechanical equipment or device. The State Treasurer shall honor any warrant presented for payment so signed by facsimile signature as if signed manually.
(2)Where the use of facsimile signatures is authorized under this section, the holder or drawee of any warrant bearing or purporting to bear a facsimile signature shall be under no duty to determine the authority of the person who affixed the facsimile signature to use facsimile signatures.
