Text

(1)The Higher Education Coordinating Commission shall notify employers subject to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (P.L. 100-379) that the commission is the state agency that must be notified when the employers are required to provide notice of a plant closing or mass layoff under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (P.L. 100-379).
(2)When notifying employers as provided in subsection (1) of this section, the commission shall provide employers with a statement of the programs, projects, expenditures and other forms of assistance the commission and other state agencies can provide to communities, employers and workers affected by a plant closing or mass layoff.
