Text

(1)All appropriations for the construction or alteration of any state building shall be considered to contain an appropriation of one percent of the amount thereof for the acquisition of works of art which may be an integral part of the building, attached thereto or capable of display in other state buildings.
(2)When it would not be appropriate to place works of art in a given structure, the funds authorized in subsection (1) of this section shall be expended to acquire works of art for placement in other buildings under the control of the contracting agency.
