Text

(1)An assembly of electors is an organized body:
(a)Of not fewer than 1,000 electors of the state for a statewide nomination.
(b)Of not fewer than 500 electors of the congressional district for which the nomination for Representative in Congress is made.
(c)Of not fewer than 250 electors of the county or any other district for which the nomination is made.
(2)An assembly of electors may nominate candidates at a nominating convention. The convention shall be held in one day and last not longer than 12 hours. The signature, printed name and residence or mailing address of each member of the assembly shall be recorded at the convention and entered of record in the minutes by the secretary of the assembly.
