A person who is qualified to register, except that the person will have resided in this state less than 20 days before the election, may vote in the election for candidates for nomination or election for President or Vice President of the United States or elector of President and Vice President of the United States if the person:

(1)Did not vote for the nomination of such candidates in another state during the six months immediately preceding the person’s request for registration to vote for the nomination of such candidates in the primary election in this state; or
(2)Did not vote for the election of such candidates in another state during the six months immediately preceding the person’s request for registration to vote for the election of such candidates in the general election in thi
