Text

Leave of absence for not more than 90 days without pay, and without consent of the commission, may be granted by the appointing power to any person subject to civil service. Such leave shall not in any way prejudice the rights or privileges of a person subject to civil service. Leave of absence for longer periods may be granted by the governing body of the political subdivision as governed by its rules and regulations. The appointing power or governing body shall give immediate notice of such leave to the commission.
