(1)Except as otherwise provided by section 30, Article IV of the Oregon Constitution, notwithstanding any statute or salary plan establishing the salary for a position in the exempt, unclassified or management service, a Senator or Representative who is appointed to a position in the exempt, unclassified or management service during the Senator’s or Representative’s term of office shall receive a salary established as follows:
(a)If the salary for the position to which the Senator or Representative is appointed has been increased during the Senator’s or Representative’s term of office, the Senator or Representative shall receive a salary equal to that established for the position immediately prior to the commencement of the Senator’s or Representative’s term of office until the term of o
