Compliance with minimum standards or minimum training recommended pursuant to ORS 181A.410 for public safety personnel, except youth correction officers, does not exempt any individual from any minimum requirement for selection or promotion as a police officer or certified reserve officer under ORS 181A.055 or under any civil service law, charter or ordinance for a county or city.
