(1)As used in this section, “criminal homicide” has the meaning provided in ORS 163.005.
(2)Any criminal justice agency within the State of Oregon having primary responsibility for investigation of the case shall provide information relating to any suspected criminal homicide to the Superintendent of State Police within 25 days after its discovery. The criminal justice agency shall submit the information on a form which shall be developed and provided by the Department of State Police. The form shall contain only information necessary to aid law enforcement personnel in comparing homicides and suspected homicides and discovering those exhibiting similar characteristics.
