Text

(1)For the purpose of requesting a state or nationwide criminal records check under ORS 181A.195, a municipal tax collection agency in a city with a population of 250,000 or more may require the fingerprints of a person who:
(a)(A) Is employed or applying for employment by the city; or
(B)Provides services or seeks to provide services to the city as a contractor or volunteer; and
(b)Is, or will be, working or providing services in a position in which the person will have access to federal tax information.
(2)A municipal tax collection agency in a city with a population of 250,000 or more may enter into a written agreement with the Department of State Police for purposes of conducting criminal records checks under this section. An agreement entered into under this subsection must includ
