(1)(a) The superintendent of any institution of this state shall notify the Department of State Police prior to the release or immediately after the escape from the institution of any person committed to the institution for a crime for which a report is required or under civil commitment as a sexually dangerous person.
(b)The notice required under this subsection must state the name of the person to be released or who has escaped, the county in which the person was convicted or from which the person was committed and, if known, the address or locality at which the person will reside.
(2)Promptly upon receipt of the notice required under subsection (1) of this section, the department shall notify all law enforcement agencies in the county in which the person was convicted or from which th
