Text
(1)If a garnishee erroneously sends a payment to the court that should have been sent to the garnishor, the court administrator shall immediately forward to the garnishor any cash or check made payable to the garnishor. If a garnishee erroneously sends a payment in the form of a check made payable to the court, the court administrator may deposit and hold the check until the check has cleared and then forward the payment to the garnishor.
(2)The court administrator is not liable for interest on money erroneously sent to the court if the court administrator transmits the money to the garnishor in a timely manner. [2001 c.249 §42; 2003 c.576 §67]
