The Legislative Assembly shall provide continuing oversight, by committee, task force or other appropriate means, to insure that compensation and classification in the state service meet the requirements of ORS 240.190 and other applicable provisions of state law. Members performing the oversight function shall review the proposed changes to classification and compensation plans and their implementation as necessary to determine the progress within each branch of government in achieving policies stated in ORS 240.190 and other applicable provisions of state law. The oversight function shall include recommending appropriate actions to remedy any inequities in the plan.
