§ 8-223 — Procedure for revocation or refusal to renew agent's

license. A hearing before the Board for the purpose of revoking or refusing to renew a burial agent license shall be had only upon a sworn complaint signed by a complainant, or a show cause order issued by the Board, after a copy thereof has been served on the agent and the burial associations for which the agent is licensed or which have made requisition for such agent.

(1)The sworn complaint and the show cause order shall be concise and definite in such a manner so as to apprise the agent of the nature of the charge.
(2)The agent and the interested burial associations shall be served at least ten (10) days prior to the date of the hearing.
(3)Formal rules of procedure or evidence need not be observed by the Board in the conduct of the hearing.
