legal expenses. No member of the Authority, no member of the board and no officer or employee of the Authority may be subject to any personal liability or accountability for having acted within the course and scope of his membership, office or employment to carry out any power or duty pursuant to this act. The Authority shall indemnify any member of the Authority, any member of the board of the Authority and any employee of the Authority against expenses actually and necessarily incurred by him in connection with the defense of any action or proceeding in which he is made a party by reason of past or present association with the Authority and the subject of which was within the course and scope of his membership, office or employment.
