Text

Reimbursement Act - Procedure.

A.The Director of the Office of Management and Enterprise Services shall establish a procedure to expedite payment for a proper claim of a state employee for expenses recompensable pursuant to the provisions of the State Travel Reimbursement Act.
B.The procedure provided for in subsection A of this section shall: 1. Require payment within forty-five (45) days from the date on which a proper claim is submitted by the employee to the appropriate office of the agency for which the expenses were incurred; and 2. Provide for the payment of interest from the thirtieth day after receipt by the appropriate office of a proper claim for which payment has not been mailed, transmitted or delivered to the employee by the close of business on the forty-fifth day.
