§ 74-365 — Receipt of warrants as payment - Redemption and

cancellation. Redemption of Warrants. He shall receive in payment of public dues, the warrants drawn by the State Treasurer in conformity with the law; or redeem the same, if there be money in the Treasury appropriated for that purpose, and on redeeming such warrant, or receiving the same in payment, he shall cause the person presenting such warrant to endorse the same and the Treasurer shall perforate the date and the word "Canceled" with perforator, and shall enter in his book, in separate columns the number of such warrant, its date, amount and the name of the person to whom payable, the date of the payment and the amount of interest if any, paid thereon.
