A.As funds are available, the State Department of Education in consultation with the Office of Educational Quality and Accountability shall administer an induction program for teachers which shall be approved by the State Board of Education. Beginning with the 2015-2016 school year, each school district shall participate in the induction program. The program shall include, but not be limited to: 1. Guidance to school districts for successful induction programs; 2. Training for school districts to include the selection, function and duties of mentors; and 3. Resources for appropriate professional development, support, mentorship and coaching for the inductee and mentors.
B.The induction program training shall be completed at a frequency as determined by the board of education.
