Text
A.As used in this section, "military-connected student" means a student enrolled in a public school who is a dependent of a current or former member of: 1. The United States military; 2. The Oklahoma National Guard; or 3. A reserve force of the United States military.
B.Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, the State Department of Education shall designate a school district campus as a Purple Star Campus if the campus applies and qualifies for the designation pursuant to this section.
C.To qualify as a Purple Star Campus, a school district or individual campus shall: 1. Designate a school employee as a military liaison whose duties include: a. identifying military-connected students enrolled at the campus, b. serving as the point of contact between the campus and military-connected
