§ 70-5-154 — Approval of budget - Estimates of revenues and

expenditures. For a school district acting in accordance with the School District Budget Act, within the thirty-day period preceding the beginning of each fiscal year, a budget for the school district shall be approved by the governing body. The chief executive officer may require any other officer or employee who is charged with the management or control of any department or office of the school district to furnish estimates for the fiscal year covering estimated revenues and expenditures of the department or office on or before a date set by the chief executive officer.
