of Oklahoma – Establishment – Funding.
A.The Oklahoma State Legislature requests the Board of Regents at the University of Oklahoma to establish a cancer treatment and research program under the administrative direction of the Provost for the Health Sciences Centers in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The program should provide statewide leadership in cancer research, prevention and information, and treatment and seek to gain national recognition for excellence in the fight against cancer by being named as a comprehensive cancer center by the National Cancer Institute. B.
