and training – CLEET approval.

A.Any state-supported technology center school in this state operating under the State Board of Career and Technology Education or any higher education institution in this state shall be authorized to, upon application and approval of the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET), offer courses of study for law enforcement certification, basic peace officer certification academies and other law-enforcement-related training. Commissioned and noncommissioned individuals and those individuals appointed or not appointed by a law enforcement agency may attend the courses or training offered by the technology center school or higher education institution.
