A.The Commission for Educational Quality and Accountability shall establish a two-year pilot program for mentor teacher training with the goal of retaining teachers in this state. For the purposes of this section, "mentor teacher" shall have the same meaning as provided for in Section 6-182 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
B.The pilot program shall provide mentor teachers, who have taught for at least five (5) years, with coaching tools to guide, support, and assist teachers who have been employed by a public school district in this state for one year in the areas of classroom management, curriculum, differentiation of instruction, and other pedagogical techniques. The goal of the pilot program shall be to provide training to one mentor teacher from each school district in this stat
