A.The State Board of Education shall: 1. Maintain a federal child count register of children with disabilities as defined by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), P.L. No. 101-476, as may be amended, and the implementing federal regulations; 2. Monitor efforts of the local public schools to meet the needs of children with disabilities as provided by each such child's Individualized Education Program; and 3. Coordinate private and public efforts, including efforts of agencies of state and local government to meet educational needs of children with disabilities.
