§ 68-3013 — Notice of hearing - Continuing hearings - Calling

officials for examination. The notice of such hearing shall be given by one publication in a newspaper of general circulation in such county and such notice shall fix the time and place of such hearing. The hearing shall be continued from day to day until concluded, not to exceed a total of ten (10) days; provided, however, that such hearing shall be concluded before the expiration of ten (10) days if there are no requests on file with the board at such hearing. Upon the request of any taxpayer at such hearing, the excise board shall have the power to call in the official or person in charge of any office, department, or municipality for examination concerning estimated needs for current expense purposes for the current fiscal year, as certified by the various municipalities.
