purchasers. Failure on the part of any person, producer, refiner, processor, reclaimer, transporter, or purchaser of oil, petroleum oil, tank bottoms, pit oil, liquid hydrocarbons, natural gas, or casinghead gas, to comply with the provisions of this article shall be deemed a misdemeanor, and upon conviction therefor, such person, producer, refiner, processor, reclaimer, transporter, or purchaser of oil or gas shall be punished by the imposition of a fine of not to exceed One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or of a jail sentence of not to exceed six (6) months, or by the imposition of both such fine and imprisonment. Each day's failure to comply with the provisions of this article within the period of time fixed therein, shall constitute a separate offense.
