§ 63-1-212 — Powers and duties of city - county board of health.

It shall be the duty of the city-county board of health to recommend ordinances, rules and regulations to the governing body of any city or town within its jurisdiction and to the board of county commissioners of the county within which such board exists in matters pertaining to the preservation and promotion of public health, and to assist in the formulation and adoption of uniform health ordinances, rules and regulations within the jurisdiction of such board. Such board, in addition to the powers and duties set forth in Sections 210 to 218 of this article, shall have all the powers, rights and duties which are now or may hereafter be conferred by the statutes of this state upon city or county boards of health, except the making of rules and regulations.
