§ 63-1-210 — City-county board of health in certain counties -

Membership.
A.There is hereby created in any county of this state with a population of more than five hundred thousand (500,000), according to the latest Federal Decennial Census, a city-county board of health composed of nine (9) members.
B.The membership of the board shall be composed of five members appointed by the city council of such city, or city commission, whichever applies, and four members appointed by the board of county commissioners of such county. Each member shall serve a term of six (6) years, except, that of the members initially appointed by the city council, or city commission, whichever applies, one member initially appointed shall serve a term of two (2) years, one member initially appointed shall serve a term of three (3) years, one member initially appointed shall
