A.When a law enforcement agency receives notice of a critically missing adult, the agency shall take the following actions: 1. Enter the missing individual into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database immediately upon obtaining the necessary information for NCIC pursuant to the guidance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); 2. Conduct an investigation into the disappearance of the critically missing adult to determine whether the person has likely been abducted or taken against his or her will; and 3. Collect identifying information and any other information about the critically missing adult that might be useful to the general public for the safe recovery of the person.
