Text

Department. The Department shall develop reasonable rules and regulations that establish appropriate criteria for the transfer of residents initiated by the Department in emergency situations, including notice and hearings if the resident is aggrieved by the decision. The primary purpose and emphasis of the departmental rules and regulations shall be the preservation of the health, welfare, and safety of the residents. In addition, the Department of Human Services shall cooperate with the Health Department and the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to provide assistance in relocation of residents, to provide casework services, and in other ways to minimize the impact of the transfer on the residents.
