§ 62-662 — Bids for purchase of materials and supplies costing over

$500 - Meetings of trustees - Records. In all cases where the trustees shall contract for the payment of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) or more for the purchase of any materials, equipment, or supplies or for the construction of facilities, said contract shall be made only, after public advertisement for bids, to the lowest and best bidder upon the proposal so advertised. All meetings of the trustees shall be open to the public to the same extent as is required by law of meetings by other boards and commissions, and all records of the trustees shall be public records as provided by law and shall be kept either in the office of the city clerk or the county clerk, as the case may be.
