Text

Disposition of funds held therefor. No check issued or voucher registered by the treasurer of any county in this state shall be honored by the bank on which it is drawn or by his registration made payable if not presented within a reasonable time under the circumstances, or in any event unless presented within one (1) year of the date of issue. When one (1) year shall have elapsed after the date of issue of any county treasurer's check drawn against any public funds in the county treasurer's custody or of any voucher drawn by any public officer against the public officer's official depository account with the county treasurer, other than checks and vouchers which may be issued to another public officer for the benefit of the state or a subdivision thereof, it shall be the duty of the count
