Fund. The State Treasurer is hereby vested with authority and the responsibility for the control and management of all monies in the Unclaimed Property Fund as provided for in the Uniform Unclaimed Property Act. It shall be the duty of the State Treasurer to take such steps as may be necessary to preserve the principal of monies accruing to the Unclaimed Property Fund as a trust for persons claiming any interest in any property delivered to the state pursuant to the provisions of the Uniform Unclaimed Property Act.
