- Requirements.

A.Effective January 1, 2016, advanced practice registered nursing education programs that the applicant has successfully completed must meet the following requirements to be considered for approval by the Board: 1. The education program must be a graduate-level program offered by a university accredited by an accrediting body that is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation; 2. The program holds accreditation or holds candidacy, pre- accreditation, or applicant status for accreditation from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the American College of Nurse- Midwives Division on Accreditation, or the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists’ Council on
