A.To be eligible for licensure as a therapeutic recreation specialist pursuant to the provisions of the Therapeutic Recreation Practice Act, an applicant shall: 1. Be at least eighteen (18) years of age; 2. Have successfully completed an academic program with a baccalaureate degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a major in therapeutic recreation or a major in recreation or leisure with an option and/or emphasis in therapeutic recreation; 3. Have successfully completed a period of field experience under the supervision of a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or a licensed therapeutic specialist approved by the educational institution where the applicant has met his or her academic requirements; and 4. Have successfully completed the proctored examin
