A.The State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision is authorized to obtain a national criminal history background check on physician applicants seeking a letter of qualification for purposes of registration for expedited licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact pursuant to Section 493.7 of Title 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
B.Oklahoma physician applicants seeking a letter of qualification under the Compact shall be fingerprinted for the national criminal history background check. Applicant fingerprints shall be submitted to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the national criminal history background check shall be conducted in accordance with Section 150.9 of Title 74 of the Oklahoma Statutes.
