A.

1.The Board of Dentistry may issue a dental specialty license authorizing a dentist to represent himself or herself to the public as a specialist, and to practice as a specialist, in a dental specialty.
2.No dentist shall represent himself or herself to the public as a specialist or practice as a specialist as listed in this paragraph, unless the individual: a. has successfully completed an advanced dental specialty educational program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, or has met the board certification requirements and is recognized as a current board certified member of a dental specialty organization or association recognized by the National Commission on Recognition of Dental Specialties and Certifying Boards, b. has passed the jurisprudence examination coverin
