§ 57-55 — Penalty for sheriff's neglect.

If the sheriff or jailer in charge of any county jail shall neglect or refuse to comply with any of the rules and regulations established by the district judge, or pursuant to the Oklahoma Jail Standards Act, or to any other duties required pursuant to Sections 41 through 64 of this title, the sheriff or jailer in charge shall, on conviction thereof, by indictment for each case of such failure or neglect of duty as aforesaid, pay into the county treasury of the proper county, for the use of such county, a fine not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) to be assessed by the district court of the proper district.
