Attorneys. Professional investigators shall have a four-year degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in psychology, sociology, criminal justice or related areas of study. Provided that the agency may, at its discretion, waive the requirement of a specific major and may substitute criminal justice experience for the requirement of a major in psychology, sociology, criminal justice or related areas of study. Provided, however, nothing in this act shall disqualify any persons currently holding the position of investigator from continuing to act in that capacity. At least one of the employees of the Office of the Pardon and Parole Board shall be an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma.
