Text

— Pilot program to increase available training.

A.The Department of Public Safety shall establish and administer a pilot program to increase the availability of Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) training. The purpose of this program is to increase the number of peace officers qualified to conduct certain drug-impairment screening tests during impaired driving investigations.
B.The Department is authorized to provide funding, administer the program, and establish grant criteria regarding the administration of the program.
