A.The Commissioner of Public Safety shall charge and collect the fees required to be paid to the Department of Public Safety.
B.Payments for any fees required to be paid by any person to the Department of Public Safety, except as otherwise provided by law, may be made by: 1. The person’s personal or company check, as prescribed by rules of the Department; 2. Cash, if paid in person; 3. Money order or certified check; or 4. A nationally recognized credit card issued to the person. The Commissioner may add an amount equal to four percent (4%) of the amount of such payment as a convenience fee for credit card payments. Such convenience fee shall be deposited in the State Treasury to the credit of the Department of Public Safety Revolving Fund. For purposes of this paragraph, “nationally rec
