Text

Penalties. Any person, firm, or corporation who moves or transports any load or manufactured home without a permit issued by the Department of Transportation as required by the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished as follows: 1. For the first such violation, by a fine of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00); 2. For the second such violation, by a fine of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00); and 3. For the third and subsequent violations, by a fine of not less than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) nor more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00). The permit shall be carried by the operator of the vehicle moving or transporting the load or manufactured home and shall be available for inspection by any law enforcement officer.
