Text

A.No more than two separate lamps with a white light shall be so constructed and placed as to illuminate the rear license plate and render it clearly legible from a distance of fifty (50) feet to the rear.
B.Any separate lamp or lamps for illuminating the rear license plate, shall be lighted whenever the clearance lamps and: 1. Headlamps; 2. Combination of headlamps and auxiliary driving lamps, as defined in Section 12-217 of this title; or 3. Fog lamps, as defined in Section 12-217 of this title, are lighted.
C.The operation of a vehicle upon which the license plate is surrounded or framed, partially or in whole, by any additional lamp or lamps or otherwise lighted by any additional lamp or lamps, shall be a violation of this section. In addition, display and visibility of the rear lic
