Fees and penalties.

A.Any person convicted of failure to yield a right-of-way and who causes a fatality or great bodily injury, as defined in Section 11-904 of this title, as a result of such violation shall, in addition to any other fine or penalty, be assessed a fee in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to be deposited in the Motorcycle Safety and Education Program Revolving Fund established in Section 40-123 of this title. Any person convicted of failure to yield a right-of-way and who causes a serious bodily injury as a result of such violation may, in addition to any other fine or penalty, be assessed a fee in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to be deposited in the Motorcycle Safety and Education Program Revolving Fund.
