Text

- Order. When the applicant appears in person before the judge of the district court and presents the application and the certificate of the examining doctor of medicine or osteopathic physician, the judge of the district court shall fully question the applicant. If the judge of the district court is satisfied that the applicant fully understands the nature of the application and the consequences which the law will impose in the event applicant is admitted to the hospital as a consumer and that the application is voluntarily made, the judge of the district court shall forthwith make an order authorizing the executive director of the appropriate State Hospital for the mentally ill to admit the applicant as a consumer.
