A.Subject to the availability of funds, the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is hereby directed to contract with public and private entities located in the State of Oklahoma for the purpose of providing peer support crisis intervention, counseling and wellness for the law enforcement, firefighter, emergency medical and corrections communities impacted by trauma, cumulative stress, anxiety, addictions, death and suicide and the impact on their personal lives.
B.Qualified crisis intervention training entities shall provide peer support teams trained in crisis intervention and wellness strategies.
