Payment of expenses.

A.The Insurance Commissioner may make an examination of the affairs of any health maintenance organization, producers and providers with whom the organization has contracts, agreements or other arrangements pursuant to the provisions of Sections 309.1 through 309.7 of this title.
B.The Insurance Commissioner may require a health maintenance organization to contract for an examination concerning the quality assurance program of the health maintenance organization and of any providers with whom the organization has contracts, agreements or other arrangements as often as is reasonably necessary for the protection of the interests of the people of this state, but not less frequently than once every three (3) years.
