The Department of Environmental Quality shall provide for the development of a prioritized agenda of studies necessary to provide information to facilitate the design and implementation of recycling initiatives. Such studies may include, but not be limited to: 1. Waste composition analyses for urban and rural areas; 2. Surveys to delineate the knowledge, opinions, and preferences of Oklahoma citizens and businesses with respect to recycling; 3. A range of municipal recycling demonstration projects; 4. Yard waste composting demonstration projects to assist in reclaiming strip-mined land; 5. An assessment of management options for hard-to-handle wastes such as lead-acid batteries, used motor oil, and white goods; and 6.
