Text

The third Friday of September of each year is hereby designated as “POW/MIA Recognition Day”, and the Governor is authorized and requested to: 1. Issue annually a proclamation calling on all the citizens of this state to observe the day with appropriate ceremonies and activities; and 2. Authorize all state agencies, interested organizations, groups and individuals to fly the flag of the National League of Families of American Prisoners of War and Missing in Action on the third Friday of each September to symbolize America’s missing military personnel and our determination to account for them.
